Realme Neo 7 has been in the teasers for a while and we’ve been waiting patiently. It was only a matter of time before they published an official launch date and put the lid on all its speculations. The latest teasers confirm December 11th is the big day, and the device will be unveiled in China at 4 PM local time.
Neo 7 is a semi-flagship handset, ranked after Realme GT 7, but it’s still quite the performance package for the segment if you are a power user. Teasers say it will be durable with IP68 level top quality resistance from water and dust, almost as good as a flagship gets these days.
It’s a solid phone built around a battery bigger than 6500mAh, and it will need that juice for the gamer demographic Realme is advertising to. Digital Chat Station says that this phone will be the first Realme with a 7000mAh battery, and speculates that the chipset running inside it is MediaTek’s top-end Dimensity 9300+.
The same leaker even shared an AnTuTu image with a score of about 2.4 million for a handset named Neo 7. This chip is a rival of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in performance and efficiency, so if they position it in the upper mid-range segment, Realme's latest 5G handset will be unbeatable.
Those fresh teasers from yesterday don’t reveal much, but they did spill the most important piece of information: Neo 7’s price. The phone’s base price of CNY 2,499 is a steal; it converts to around $345 (~PKR 96,000), putting it in the mid-range territory with some flagship-grade specs.
