Realme is the front-runner this month among the new releases. In an unprompted move, the chain silently unveiled a new V-model from their China-exclusive series. The phone goes by Realme V23i and ranks in the company's mid-range portfolio. Here's a brief overview of its internals.

To begin with, it's important to note that the V23i's starting price falls short of justifying its specifications at any point. Its comprehensive spec sheet includes a mediocre CPU, a standard IPS screen, no high-res cameras, and a 5000mAh with no ratings for fast charging.

In the realm of performance, Realme V23i uses MediaTek MT6833 Dimensity 700 (7 nm) chip. It's an entry-level 5G chip and is the cheapest one you can find on any phone. It leverages an underperforming MALI-G57 GPU for graphics and visuals.

The single variant it ships in has a limited 4GB RAM that goes along with 128GB of storage. Though, Realme's latest V model does have an SD card slot for additional space. V23i has an outdated Android 12-based operating system atop Realme UI.

The new Realme Model pairs a 90Hz refresh rate with a 6.56-inch HD+ IPS screen. The display boasts an 84% screen-to-body ratio and ~268 PPI density. The chassis enveloping the screen has a plastic build with upright edges. The frame constitutes a fingerprint reader on the side and a squarish camera platform on the back.

The bare minimum photography setup on V23i includes a 13MP primary camera, a 2MP secondary camera, and an 8MP selfie shooter capable of 1080p recording. The phone plugs in with 10W charging. It boots up using a 5000mAh cell and ships in Black and Blue colors. The China-released phone surprisingly costs 288$, which translates to Pakistani ~64,000 rupees, just 14k more than the Realme C35 retail price.
