In the fall of last year, Realme unveiled its flagship X7 series. As the third quarter of 2021 is coming up, the Oppo sub-brand is done with the Realme 8 series and is now working on the next generation of the X line. It’s reportedly titled X9 and features Realme X9 and X9 Pro. We have the expected launch date, pricing, and specs to share.
A phone leaker based in China published on the platform Weibo that the Realme X9 series will make its debut in July. Other than the X9 and the X9 Pro, Realme might also have a special Master Edition in the works. The base variant is priced at CNY 2,000 (~ Rs. 48,000) and the Pro at CNY 2,500 (~ Rs. 60,000.)
The X9 will be the first Realme to use the Snapdragon 778G, while the Pro has the Snapdragon 870 (an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 865+.) We could also be looking at a 6.5” OLED panel with a hole punch, a full HD resolution, and E3 material for better efficiency. The cutout contains a 32MP selfie camera made by Sony.
We get a 50MP wide lens, a 16MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP B&W sensor on the back of the Realme new model for 2021. The X9 Pro build also includes an in-display scanner, Dolby-certified dual speakers, and NFC. It’s all powered by a 4500 mAh battery and 65W SuperVOOC charging.
Rumor has it that the X9 series will be based on the Reno6 lineup, so in addition to the specifications, their designs and dimensions should also overlap. We’ll keep you posted as the story develops.
