If the last few months of smartphone releases have proven anything, it’s the fact that mid-tier smartphones like are pulling ahead of flagship devices in the camera race, at least when it comes to producing more pixels. And Realme (which has built its brand around introducing flagship-killer smartphones on a budget) wants in.
We’re, of course, talking about the Realme XT and its 64-megapixel camera module, which has been grabbing headlines even before it was officially announced. Following weeks and weeks of teasers, leaks, and promos, the phone was unveiled early in September in China, but XT has finally made its way to Pakistan. The sub-brand of Oppo has confirmed that Realme XT is scheduled for launch nationwide on the 26th of October. Here’s everything you need to know.
On the front, you’re looking at a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED FHD+ display and a now-common water-drop notch housing the 16-megapixel selfie snapper. There is an in-display fingerprint reader underneath the XT screen and a gorgeous glass panel with a glossy finish on the back.
Needless to say, the highlight of Realme XT would be its four-lens setup featuring a 64-megapixel main ISOCELL Bright sensor (manufactured by Samsung). Neighboring this primary lens is an 8-megapixel 119-degree ultrawide sensor, a 2-megapixel portrait shooter, and finally, a 2-megapixel macro lens for better close-up shots. This hardware is augmented by Realme’s proprietary AI tech, which aims to capture and process images better.
Realme is offering the XT in three different memory variants. The base version with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, another with 6GB of memory and 64GB of onboard storage and lastly, you have the top-tier variant with a jaw-dropping 8 GB of RAM paired with 128 GB of native storage. We still don't know which one(s) will make it to Pakistan but all three variants are expected to be available for a more than reasonable price tag.
The Expected Prices of All three Realme XT variants:
- 4GB + 64GB – 37,999 Rs.
- 6GB + 64GB – 39,999 Rs.
- 8GB + 128GB – 44,999 Rs.
Realme XT is all set to launch in Pakistan on the 26th of October. One thing that deserves a special mention is the phone’s long-rumored 4,000 mAh battery, which supports 20W fast-charging. The phone can be charged up to half its capacity in just 30 minutes and up to 88 percent in an hour.
