Realme’s plans for a 300W Charging system got tipped a day before yesterday, but there is now an absolute confirmation of it coming straight from a Realme representative. A viral clip of Realme’s VP and CMO has everyone stumped over the 300W charging tech.
The official teasers read August 14th as the unveiling date for Realme’s 300W Fast Charging tech. There will be an event in China for its announcement on the same day. And let’s not forget that we already have a demo clip leaked by 91Mobiles that shows off this 300W wired charging in action.
As we seek through the clip, that unknown device boarding a 300W charging system fills up 15 percent in 32 seconds, and in the next two seconds, it reaches 17 percent. We don’t need to tell you how tremendously fast that is. Of course, the short video ends at 39 seconds, and we couldn’t see how fast it reached 100%.
We assume that the last 20 battery points fill up at sluggish speeds. Still, some reports suggest this 300W wired charging can fill up a 4,100mAh cell in under 5 minutes. That seemingly breaks all the records of fast charging ever secured by any brand, except, of course, the Xiaomi. They tested a similar technology back in February 2023.
Their 300W charging solution never took off. There are no retail Xiaomi phones to have that technology yet. But masters of the Realme GT 5 series’ 240W fast charging are your next best hope for a 300W wired charging phone. Realme's next GT 7 series could’ve been the perfect candidate for it. Alas, that doesn’t seem to be the case.
