Xiaomi Redmi K60 Featured in a Detailed Leak Way Ahead Of Launch

There's no shortage of reliable and vigilant tipsters in the smartphone industry. One of them is Digital Chat Station which recently got hold of some significant leaks regarding Xiaomi's Redmi K60 series. This was a surprise as Xiaomi has yet to unveil some variants of the K50 series in August.


The Chinese leakster has claimed the Redmi K60 series will deploy the latest MediaTek and Snapdragon chipsets based on TSMC's 4nm architecture. Two chipsets from different manufacturers are used to create regional diversity in the handset's models.

These CPUs could be the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ or the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 deployed in the K50 handsets. Upgraded versions of these chipsets can also be used in the K60 smartphones.


Furthermore, the K60 family is expected to feature 2K flexible displays on the front with variable refresh rates. The display technology will likely be AMOLED as the handsets are rumored to feature in-display fingerprint sensors carrying a flagship Xiaomi mobile price.

Optically, a new iteration of the Sony IMX776 sensor will be used, sitting behind a 50MP camera. The selfie shooter's resolution is still unknown; however, it will reside in a centered punch hole cutout on the front.


This is the first leak regarding the K60 lineup, so other information is still scarce. Further news will start pouring in as soon as Xiaomi wraps up its K50 series. The Chinses tech giant just launched the K50i with a 6.6" Full HD+ 144Hz display powered by the DimeNsity 8100 SoC.

As mentioned above, other K50 models like the K50S and K50S Pro are in already in the pipeline, being prepared for their August launch. Whereas, the K60 family is still in the early stages and probably won't see the light till the first quarter of the next year.
