A number of the 2020 Galaxy A-series lineup members, including the recently-introduced Samsung Galaxy A71 5G, are headed to the U.S. market soon. An official press release shares the Samsung new models and their pricing and availability details. The 5G editions of the Galaxy A51 and A71 and Samsung Galaxy A21 will hit the stores later this summer.
Samsung Galaxy A21
Rocking an Infinity-O screen and heavy-bezel design, we have the Galaxy A21. The A21 will debut with a quad-camera, a 4,000 mAh battery (with 15W fast-charging support), and a 6.5-inch HD+ display.
The press release doesn’t detail the SoC and memory details, but the new Samsung A21 is rumored to feature a MediaTek Helio P35 chipset, 3GB of RAM, and 64GB of native storage.
It’ll be available this summer in the US for a starting price of $249.99. The price is expected to be much lower when it arrives in Pakistan and is expected to retail anywhere around 34,000 to 38,000 Pakistani rupees
Samsung Galaxy A71 5G and Galaxy A51 5G
Samsung is also breaking new ground by introducing 5G smartphones under its budget-minded Galaxy A-series. The Galaxy A51 5G and A71 5G will go on sale on an unspecified date later this summer, starting at $499.99 and $599.99, respectively. Note that the LTE counterparts of this duo were launched last year.
If you favor current-gen designs, the Galaxy A51 5G might be more your speed. You’re looking at a near bezel-less 6.5-inch Infinity-O FHD+ screen, a powerful 48MP-featuring quad-camera, 4GB/128GB memory configuration, and an ample 4,000 mAh battery.
The Galaxy A71 5G trims the bezels off further. It features a SuperAMOLED Infinity-O display, a quad-camera powered by a 64MP primary camera, and a 12MP ultrawide lens, a 4,500 mAh battery (with support for 25W fast charging), up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage. As opposed to the Snapdragon 730 chip that powers the Galaxy A71, the 5G edition runs on an Exynos 980 platform.
The build for both these models is identical to their LTE variants, as are the camera and memory specifications. So unless you want 5G connectivity, their base versions should suffice.
