Following the stable Android 13 update on Google Pixel phones, Samsung immediately started upgrading the operating systems on A-series, S-series, and tablet devices. The South Korean Chain has been rolling out Android 13 to its smartphones since November 2022, and the time has come for the budget Samsung Galaxy A04 to receive the same treatment.
For readers in Pakistan, Galaxy A04 has gone official nationwide, priced at 37,500 PKR for the lowest configuration, 3+32GB. And as it starts shipping for retail, we are hearing about its ensuing Android 13 update, which will quickly reach the devices in our market.
Currently, the new firmware version A045FXXU1BWB1 containing the OneUI 5.0 OS is available only in Kazakhstan and promises to reach more markets as the cycle continues. Here’s how to install the update on your Galaxy A04.
Upon availability, the phone will receive a notification to update; you can tap to continue downloading or install if it already did that in the background. To check manually, head on to Settings > Software update, where your phone will scan for the material to download. Once done, the phone will restart, and the new OS will welcome you upon startup. If you're interested in knowing the Samsung phone price, it may vary depending on the model upon availability.
In addition to the stable Android 13 x OneUI 5.0 upgrade, the A04 will get December 2022 security patch bound to fix dozens of newly emerged security vulnerabilities. Apart from that, the new OS and firmware will bear no significant changes and serve the same functions as the default OS.
To recall, A04 is a 6.5-inch HD+ IPS screen phone weighing only 192 grams. It has the MTK Helio P35 engine, powered by 3-4GB memory and 32-64GB storage. A 50MP sensor headlines the camera setup, and all its hardware draws power from a 5000mAh cell. Galaxy A14 is also in the toe and could launch in the local market any time soon. Its predecessor, however, is already available on shelves, Samsung A13's new price is 58,000 Pakistani rupees.
