Samsung Galaxy A04e Goes Official with PLS screen, 5000mAh Battery, and 13MP Camera

Upon receiving Bluetooth SIG certification, Samsung immediately unwrapped Galaxy A04's extra low-cost sibling: Galaxy A04e. Without a public fuss or fanfare, the Korean giant has now listed the phone on its press link with a dedicated microsite, revealing a heap of renders and specs. Have a look.

Samsung Galaxy A04e's design is not new by any means. There is a strong resemblance between its chassis and that of the A04. Even the color palette is partially identical, including the already familiar Bronze & Black plus afresh Blue skin. In addition, A04e beholds a dual-sensor camera assortment and a V-notch to carry the selfie shooter.

The chassis is strictly polycarbonate instead of a metal/plastic blend wrapped around a 6.5-inch PLS display. Lacking a higher refresh rate on the screen, Galaxy A04e only brings 720 x 1600p or HD+ resolution.

The doesn't shine in the optics department either. Primed with a 13MP alpha sensor, the latest 4G Samsung mobile can only record 1080p videos at 30FPS. On top of the screen, there's a 5MP F/2.2 sensor hidden inside the notch. Camera features are still under wraps.

Memory options for the Galaxy A04e include 3GB or 4GB of RAM, paired with either 32, 64, or 128GB of built-in storage. Additionally, the storage can expand using SDcard rated for up to 1TB capacity. This phone's SoC is also a mystery, but since its twin sports an MTK Helio G35 chip, we are confident that A04e does too.

There is no fingerprint scanner here. Powered by a 5000mAh cell, the newcomer Galaxy A04e runs Android 12 OS under One UI 4.1 core. The brand is still mum about many details, including where it will land first and how much it will cost; we'll add an update as soon as it does.
