Samsung Galaxy A04s is one of their cheaper options. Low-priority models like this get quarterly updates, not bimonthly like their premium and flagships do. We hear they are broadcasting the May 2024 security patch to A04s now. First of the four, this phone should be getting this year.
Their new firmware fixed over 45 vulnerabilities found in the previous OS. It does the same thing for A04s. We gather that this firmware has a serial code ‘A047FXXS7DXE5.’ It’s what you’ll probably find when you are in the update section of the A04s, seconds away from tapping that download and install button.
Other regions, like Pakistan, will receive that update later. But it’s doing rounds in India for now. Once the rollout there wraps up and it’s available locally, your A04s should notify you through an alert. But if that doesn’t happen over the next couple of days. You can just go to Settings > Software Update > Check for Updates.
That will tell you if our phone is ready for the update. That popular One UI 6.1 ROM is also open to the Samsung 4G latest mobile. If you are an A04s user and haven’t been to the update section lately, it is at least worth checking into.
They called it the AI feature drop, but One UI 6.1 for Galaxy A04s does not have the required hardware for AI tasks. You can call it a lighter version of UI 6.1. But you get the benefit of OS optimizations. And it is far from the last update. This one is still a long way from obsoletion.
