Samsung has officially introduced its first Ax5 lineup, the Samsung Galaxy A05 and Galaxy A05s, to the Philippine market, providing pricing and availability details. These devices offer users a 90Hz display, a 50MP primary camera, substantial storage options, and efficient fast-charging capabilities.
Samsung Galaxy A05
The Galaxy A05 boasts a 6.7-inch PLS LCD with HD+ resolution, powered by a Helio G85 processor, supported by 4 GB of RAM. It offers users a choice between 64 GB and 128 GB storage capacities. This smartphone features a robust 5,000mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging.
It also features an 8MP front-facing camera and a rear camera setup comprising a 50MP primary lens and a 2MP depth sensor for portrait assistance. The setup records 1080p videos @ 30fps and 60fps.
Additional features include dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a microSD card slot, face unlock, USB-C connectivity, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Unlike its sibling, the phone features an upgraded 13MP front camera and a rear camera setup with 50MP primary, 2MP (depth), and 2MP (macro) lenses. With upgraded resolution, the front cam lets users record 1080p videos at 30FPS.
Additional features include dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a side-facing fingerprint scanner, a microSD card slot, face unlock, USB-C connectivity, and a 3.5mm audio jack. It also runs on Android 13 with One UI, measuring 168.0 x 77.8 x 8.8 mm and weighing 194 grams. Slightly expensive yet justified, the A05s costs PHP 7,990 (~PKR 39,000).
