The last we reported on Galaxy A06 was when it had just arrived in Asia during its worldwide launch spree and thatâs when we knew, sooner or later, we would see it in Pakistan as well. It seems weâve reached that point, and now Galaxy A06 is also officially available in our country.
They debuted the A06 in two variants for local buyers, and they both have only 4 GB RAM, either tied with 128 GB or 64 GB ROMs. There are not many design tweaks this year, but we do see the âKey Islandâ bulge on its right side, some think itâs functional, and some would argue it is aesthetic.
Key Island does help you know exactly where the keys are, so it has a purpose. Last time with A05, we didnât have a fingerprint reader, but A06 definitely has one on the right side. But nothing else is different here if we had to put A05 and A06 side by side.
We see a PLS LCD on Samsung's new 4G handset that can only do a 60Hz refresh rate from a 6.7â bog standard 720p panel. There are huge bezels and a thick chin, and they didnât even get rid of its ancient U-notch, not a single upgrade in sight over the A05.
50 MP + 2 MP is the lens setup they used for A06âs rearward cameras, and you will use an 8 MP shooter for selfies out front. They used Helio G85 here, just like last time, but now the OS is upgraded to Android 14, and it might even reach Android 16 over the next years.
Then, thereâs a 5000mAh power source, its 25W fast charging backup, plus the speaker that they tuned with Dolby Atmos. Samsung Galaxy A06 (64 GB) is up for retail at Rs 26,999/-, and the 128 GB option will cost Rs 31,999/- in Pakistan.
