Samsung Galaxy A06 Launch Spree Hits Asia After Vietnam & Brazil; Rollout Continues

Not so long ago, Samsung launched the Galaxy A06 in Vietnam with the promise that they would drop it in Asia just as quickly. Well, the time is today. This Galaxy A06 has reached Brazil plus one of the Asian markets, and this rollout won't stop until all global regions have an A06 of their own.

The one new thing with this year's design: a 'Key Island.' Galaxy A06 added a slight bulge on the frame, where the volume rocker and fingerprint reader lay. That's the second new feature in this Galaxy A06 — a fingerprint reader they didn't include with Galaxy A05.

This model is otherwise ordinary and a plain copy of the old Galaxy A05. There's a 6.7" PLS display of HD+ 720p resolution. And don't expect fast refresh rates here. It will only go as high as 60Hz, but seeing the Helio G85 at its helm, we doubt it would've pushed the screen to 90Hz anyway.

Helio G85 is a TSMC 12nm hub that boosts clock speed at 2.0GHz. It's not much but almost expected of a device in the range. They will allow Samsung's upcoming 4G handset for two years of OS updates, and the Android 14 is its default software out of the box. At least, it's a promising phone in that area.

What powers the Galaxy A06 won't surprise you at all, but the 25W charging speed is no joke coming from Samsung. They are stingy with chargers and charging speeds, even at flagship levels. The cameras are also what you would expect in this segment: 50MP + 2MP + 8MP (selfie). They launched it in Brazil at R$899 (~PKR 44,000).
