Samsung Galaxy A06 Clears Bluetooth SIG Certification; Global Launch Underway

We’ve been seeing the future Samsung Galaxy A06 a lot. It showed up on Geekbench earlier. Before that, the FCC had officially certified it for launch. But now, out of the blue, comes a qualifier listing starting the countdown for Galaxy A06’s launch.

Bluetooth SIG certified the models SM-A065M/DS SM-A065F/DS. In the process, they confirm the launch is just around the corner. The one you see with the prefix ‘M’ could be a Galaxy A06 intended for South America. The other with the letter ‘F’ may be due for a global launch.

There isn’t much to tell from SIG’s doc, but the Geekbench listing goes through some of its primary specs. It’s the cheapest one from Samsung and does 4G connectivity at best. Helio G85 will be the engine here with only 2.0GHz octa-core 12nm architect.

The max cap for Galaxy A06’s RAM will be 6 GB. There hasn’t been a sighting yet, but they could launch a 4 GB RAM option for a cheaper tag. It seems there are no upgrades due for Samsung's 4G latest model. But a feature downgrade did catch our attention.

FCC’s certificate mentioned a 5000mAh battery coming to Galaxy A06. It’s the same as the old Galaxy A05. But the charging kit inside is much worse off. They may have demoted it from 25W to a much slower 15W input. September 2023 was the launch month for A05. And A06 shall follow the same timeline.
