Following a long string of leaks, public certifications, and pre-release benchmarks, Samsung finally unveiled the 4G editions of Galaxy A13 and Galaxy A23. The official web pages aren’t up yet, but the announcements were made via press releases on Samsung Mobile Press.
Samsung Galaxy A13
The Galaxy A13 4G is a refreshed variant of the A13 5G, rocking the same design. Its camera layout is one of the most minimalist Samsung offers, and the camera cluster is embedded into the casing without an unsightly bump.
The plastic shell has a frosted matte finish available in Blue, Peach, White, and Black. Samsung has built a fingerprint scanner into the phone’s side-facing power button.
We’re looking at a quad-lens array featuring 50 MP f/1.8 main, 5MP ultra-wide, and a pair of 2MP shooters. Turn the phone over to find an 8MP front camera embedded inside V-notch on display. The Galaxy A13 4G screen is a 6.6 1080P TFT LCD. It’s an old-gen LCD panel without the contrast and viewing angles of modern screens. Plus, Gorilla Glass 5 toughens this screen.
Everything is powered by a 5000 mAh battery and 25W rapid charging. Android 12 x OneUI 4 runs on the Galaxy A13 4G out of the box. It comes in 3/4/6GB memory and 32GB/64GB/128GB storage options.
Samsung Galaxy A23
The Galaxy A23 shares many of its specs with the Galaxy A13. But it features a different design. The cameras are embedded in a camera mound with soft corners, and you can pick from muted black, white, blue, and peach tones.
Its screen is also a 6.6” TFT LCD with a 1080P resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The V-cut notch on the Galaxy A23 has an 8MP selfie lens. The rear camera system is identical to Galaxy A13’s.
The same goes for the supercharging, OS, and battery specs. You can pick from 4GB/6GB/8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage variants. The availability details for the latest android mobiles from Samsung have not been shared yet, but the Galaxy A13 is open for pre-orders in Europe.
