From 2023's Galaxy A series, the entry-level Samsung Galaxy A14 5G is the first to launch. The product is available in the United States and a few other global markets. It's habitual for Samsung to make 4G variants of devices in the budget segment. A13 brought a 4G variant, and now A14 expects the same.
The break comes from Winfuture, who shared Galaxy A14 4G's specs and renders in a publication. According to re, the 4G/LTE variant has model number SM-A145F. The upcoming model bears a slimmer profile and new color options in Black, Green, and Silver.
The SoC under A14 4G's hood is different. Winfuture claims it's MediaTek Helio G80, a 4G-ready chip maxing out at 2.0GHz frequency and integrated with Mali G52 GPU. It should drive the phone without hicks, though it won't perform as well as the Exynos 1330 chip in the A14 5G.
Other stats on A14 4G are almost identical to its 5G counterpart. It brings a 6.6-inch PLS display with Full HD+ resolution and a standard 60Hz refresh rate. It pairs the Helio G80 chip with 4GB-6GB RAM and 64GB-128GB storage. Using a MicroSD card, the A14 can expand storage up to 1TB. It's important to note that Samsung phones are known for their high cost, and the A14 4G is expected to fall in line with the Samsung mobile price for the Galaxy A13, its predecessor from the last year.
In optics, the phone has three cells on the back mounted with 50MP primary, 5MP ultrawide, and 2MP macro sensors. The selfie shooter on A14's notched forehead is 13MP with an F/2.0 aperture. It retains the 3.5mm audio port and brings a side-mounted fingerprint reader.
In essentials, A14 4G will carry a 5000mAh cell backed by up to 10W charging brick. Out of the box, it should run the latest Android 13 OS with OneUI 5 skin. The device will have Bluetooth 5.2 module, dual speaker mode, and DOLBY Atmos support, all at an alleged $217 price tag (~PKR 58,000).
