Samsung Galaxy A15 Tops the Chart as Their Bestseller Phone in Q2 2024

The reports are in for Q2 2024’s best-selling smartphones in the world. Samsung always makes the list, and this time, Counterpoint Research crowned the Samsung Galaxy A15 5G for most Android sales in the 2nd leg of this year. Galaxy A55 and S24 Ultra were at the bottom of this list.

Around the same time last year (2023), they gave a fifth position to Galaxy A14 5G. And ranked above were the Apple iPhone 14s. It’s the same story as before. And iPhones still rank above all the Androids. The only difference: Galaxy A15 5G managed to snatch a position from the vanilla iPhone 14 by cracking the top four.

Samsung Galaxy A15 5G did far better in sales than A14. 2.0% of the market share is a big deal for any budget phone to secure. It shows how much the industry favoured A15 over other options. Maybe someday, Samsung might even overcome the iPhone sales.

But, for now, the vanilla iPhone 15 remains at the top with a 4.1% market share. iPhone 15 Pro Max trailing behind with 3.7% in second place. And the 3rd rank is iPhone 15 Pro’s with 3.1%. iPhone 14 continues pushing in the big leagues, even if it’s not current. And its sales this time put it in the 6th ranking.

Galaxy A55 did slightly worse than last year and sits at 7th position rather than 6th. Xiaomi also made it to the top 10 for the first time. Their Redmi 13C was a big success. Its sales put it at 8th rank. Under that, Galaxy S24 Ultra had 9th, and Galaxy A05 had the 10th place on the roster.
