Samsung Galaxy A16 Leaks with the Same Design You Know, Except the “Key Island”

Galaxy A06 launched earlier, so the next turn is for Samsung Galaxy A16 5G & 4G and we’re already learning so much about them from the internet leaks. We had our suspicions that there won’t be any design changes for the A16, except maybe the Key Island and we were right on the money.

Android Headlines came up with a new report that leaked Galaxy A16’s renders and all angles of its design lay bare in one image. On the right side where the power and volume keys are present shall be bulging out like it did with last year’s Galaxy A35 and A55.

That beveled side of the phone has a particular name, even though it serves little function called ‘Key Island.’ Most other budget phones will keep the side rails flat, and flush the buttons right in, but we can see the appeal and care for extra details.

The front side of the Galaxy A16 looks just as cheap as it comes. They won’t get rid of the notch, but credit where the credit’s due, the bezels around it seem shaved off ever so slightly. But only around that U-notch. Samsung's budget latest mobile’s panel at the chin is still fat and very intrusive.

It seems they chose a glossy back panel for the A16, and there’s something very alluring about the mix of matte side rails and reflective rear shields. So props to Samsung’s design team. As leaks would have you, Galaxy A16 5G probably has a Dimensity 6300+ chip, and there are likely chances of a 50 MP rear camera. A 4GB base RAM option also came up in one of the Geekbench tests.
