Since February, the Samsung Galaxy A23 LTE (SM-A235M) has been receiving the OneUI 5.1 update, albeit at a sluggish pace, with numerous global markets still on the waiting list. It is only now that the company has decided to cycle the update through countries like Brazil, Peru, Mexico, Panama, Chile, Colombia, Guatemala, Bolivia, Argentina, and Paraguay.

On the initial release, Galaxy A23 batched OneUI 5.1 with a February security patch. However, this time around, a new firmware iteration is circulating, containing an April 2023 security patch and bearing the version code "A235MUBU2CWD1."

For the remaining markets, including Pakistan, the company will soon serve the OTA to Galaxy A23 users in the country. Upon availability, you will receive an alert in the notification center. Users can also scan for updates by navigating to the "Software update" menu in the phone's Settings app.

Despite hardware limitations and constraints, the Galaxy A23 features many significant upgrades with the One UI 5.1 update. One of the most noticeable advancements is the Gallery app, which boasts a more robust search engine, a shared family album, and a revamped info display. Multitasking is also improved with the addition of pop-up views and split-screen features. At the same time, Modes and Routines now offer more actions and the ability to set individual per-mode wallpapers.

Additionally, the Weather app has received a facelift, and Samsung Internet now provides continuous browsing across multiple devices and improved bookmark integration. Furthermore, users can now access a newly added battery widget among the home screen options.
