Galaxy A25, smack dab in the middle of their A15 and A35, is a great phone, and it serves people well with its semi-mid-tier hardware. Samsung keeps true to its word and is now updating your A25 with its newly hatched October 2024 security update, and you might want to install it as quickly as possible.

This update should help the phone’s OS deal with around 42 new exploitable weak points in the current version One UI 6 firmware. For now, it’s only the European region picking up this October patch on air, but sooner or later, other regions will get the same treat.

Galaxy A25 model code ‘SM-A256B’ across France, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom will have this update when you read this news. ‘A256BXXS6BXJ1’ is the firmware version we spotted for this specific patch.

Of course, this update will land in Pakistan, eventually, and if you have an Galaxy A25 at hand, you must keep an eye out. Check for this update occasionally in Settings >> Software Update menu. When a popup shows with a Changelog and firmware info, tap Download and Install.

This may be one of the final security updates before A25 gets the One UI 7.0 software on Android 15. There’s no official statement about it, but you can be sure One UI 7 will meet the Galaxy A25, right after they update some of its upper-league roster.
