Samsung Galaxy A26 Gets Certified, Taking Its First Step Toward Global Launch

Galaxy A26 is closing the gap and there are only a few weeks left until this mid-ranger is out of the covers. So far, the only leads we could find about the Samsung Galaxy A26 are from speculations, leaks, and certifications. After Geekbench, another platform in Asia has approved the phone now, and we have the details right here.

Galaxy A26 might arrive in India first, before reaching elsewhere in the Asian markets. BIS cleared the Galaxy A26 with model code SM-A266B/DS, which gives away at least one meaningful clue that it’s a dual SIM option. As always, this certification is barebones for the most part.

But, we don’t need to wait for more certifications or leaks to drop as Geekbench officially spilled some of its internal specs long ago. We found early on that this Galaxy A26 is meant to use an Exynos 1280 chip, which if you don’t know, was a part of Galaxy A33 back in the day.

Geekbench says the latest budget Samsung mobile has at least 6GB RAM this time, but don’t worry! We’ll see more RAM options, maybe an 8GB version, just like the A25. Also, you can expect Android 15 on this phone out of the box, so you are looking at Samsung’s new One UI 7.0.

Sadly, this phone’s design isn’t any better with the rumored notch on its forehead, but the screen size might be getting larger like the Samsung Galaxy A35, which is a clear upgrade. A26’s screen is 6.64” built with the usual FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Most of its specs are still hidden, so you might have to wait for the full picture until the rumor mill unearths the rest.
