Samsung Galaxy A36 & A56 First Official Teaser Promises 6 OS Updates

We’re approaching the next Galaxy Unpacked Event and, with it, the Galaxy A56 and A36 launch. No more speculations are needed since Samsung has officially uploaded a teaser on YouTube and X to let people know about its upcoming products.

The video teaser didn’t reveal the new devices in this 1-minute clip. It rather took us through a series of achievements by their A or what they call “Awesome” family. Of course, the clip is made to hype up the Galaxy A56 and A36 launch by reminding us of what’s already out there.

Even though the products weren’t directly shown in the video, Samsung left a few clues, which answered some of the lingering questions we had about the duo. Samsung seems interested in long-term software support with its future Galaxy A series.

In the video, you’ll see several A devices, but it seems none of them are Galaxy A36 or A56. Within the final few milliseconds, we were given a glimpse of one of these devices with a newly designed camera tray, and sure enough, it aligned with the rumors we’d been hearing for weeks. It’ll be interesting to see how it’s positioned in the Samsung price catalog.

Samsung has unified that new camera design on the Galaxy A36, A56, and A26 if the rumors are to be believed. In the teaser, the A series’ standard triple-lens system now seems to be covered by a Glass shield, a design that Samsung previously had on the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus.

Another detail they threw in with the teaser is “Awesome 6OS updates.” If that’s the case, the Galaxy A series will only remain one year shy of the Galaxy S and Z series. Galaxy A55 and A35 only had a 4-OS update support, which might now improve to 6 years with the newcomers.

That about wraps up what the teaser showed. We found the rest in certifications and Geekbench listings for both devices. You can expect both devices to have the same 6.6” AMOLED, but the Galaxy A56 might have an Exynos 1580, a way more powerful chip than the A36’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3.

Another common feature across the board is a 5000mAh battery and 45W fast charging on both devices. We’ll let you know more once we get our hands on the rest of its details. Stay tuned.
