Samsung Galaxy A36 Shows Up on Geekbench, Tested with Android 15 and 6GB RAM

Galaxy A16 has already debuted, so next up, it is obviously the Galaxy A36 and A56’s turn to rip the curtains. We hear the Galaxy A36 will get an Android 15 OS from the factory by default, and for proof, there’s even a Geekbench report roaming the interweb that spilled this phone’s SoC and RAM settings.

There’s a model number up top. ‘SM-A366’ is the call sign they used for A36 and the letter ‘B’ at the end could mean that this one is a US model. One of the very first details here is Android 15 in the operating system section and in the Samsung hierarchy, that’s a sign for One UI 7.

‘Parrot’ is their secret codename for A36’s motherboard, and as the details would have you, they used a 2.4 GHz chipset on it. They also used a 6 GB version of Samsung's newest budget model for testing and that SoC/RAM combo got this phone about 316 points on single-core test and 1455 points on all cores.

This seems to be an early test run on a prototype A36, so there’s still some hope for better scores, and let’s not forget that there will also be an 8 GB RAM option that might help with it. Now, this sort of core setup is not common, and if we had to guess, this could be Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 or 7s Gen 2.

There’s also a possibility that Samsung will install its very own Exynos 1380 chip on it like they have been doing in the past, repeatedly. Their new Galaxy A16 has a 6-year OS update promise, and we can’t imagine the Galaxy A36 or A56 doing any less in that particular category.
