Samsung Galaxy A52s Snatches the October 2023 Security Update; Here's What to Expect

Samsung’s update train for October 2023 is chugging along, with the Samsung Galaxy A52s finally hopping onboard. The tech giant's flagship devices, namely the Galaxy S21, S22, and S23, had already punched their tickets to this update rollout, and now, it's the Galaxy A52s' turn.

For the Galaxy A52s users, here are the deets: the security patch carries the firmware DNA, A528BXXS5EWJ1, and is making its rounds across the European regions. From France through Switzerland, from Bulgaria and beyond, the update is rolling out to all major markets.

And for the heads up - this isn’t a feature-heavy revamp. It's squarely focused on tightening security, addressing a few recently discovered vulnerabilities in the previous software rendition.

Here’s a pro tip for users rocking the A52s in Europe: head over to Settings, slide into Software Update, and give that “Download and Install” a tap. After the completed download, the phone will reboot and welcome you to the latest patch. Samsung mobile prices have earned a reputation for delivering high-quality devices at competitive rates.

As for the A52s users residing in Pakistan, the update will leave Europe soon and move onto the Asian Markets, where it will finally grace the local market. Follow the steps described above, and once done, the device will boot to a more reinforced firmware.

On to the juicier tidbits! The A52s made its grand entrance in 2021, flaunting Android 11. Within that year, it embraced the Android 12-backed One UI 4. And before the calendar flipped, the Android 13 x One UI 5 jumped onto the scene. Speculation is rife, and the chatter suggests the A52s might soon be courting the Android 14 later this year.
