The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G has made a few headlines here and there. But this upcoming A-series phone has mostly been shrouded in mystery until now. New high-quality product mockups featuring the Galaxy A53 5G give us our first look at the sequel to one of Samsung’s best-sellers.

Steve Hemmerstoffer, better known as @Onleaks, partnered with the publication Digit to release the 5K mockups. Plus, the video tweet that presents a 360° tour of the Galaxy A53 5G. Since its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy A52 was the hottest Android phone of 2021, Samsung is playing it safe with the changes.

The design tweaks are minimal and conservative. Right off the bat, you’re met with a familiar casing and display layout. The asymmetrical bezels, the centered O-hole cutout, and the soft, rounded chassis are carried over wholesale from the Galaxy A52.

But the camera bump on the new Samsung Galaxy model appears to be seamlessly sculpted from the back panel. Instead of just sitting on top of the shell, it subtly melts into the casing — think the Oppo X3 Pro. Galaxy A53 is 8.14mm thick (without counting the camera housing.) Samsung has also lopped off the 3.5mm audio jack that was present in the last-gen A52. The feature has started disappearing in more budget-conscious phones too.

Four lenses and an LED flash are encased in the raised platform. Rumor has it that the main wide camera has a 64MP sensor behind it. The display peaks at a 1080P resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate (in contrast to the 90Hz peak refresh offered by the Galaxy A52.)
