Samsung Galaxy A53 5G Updated with June 2024 Security Patch Including 59 Fixes

Samsung Galaxy A53 5G is about two years old now. But it’s not even near obsoletion. We hear it’s getting this month’s June 2024 security package OTA. There’s a little complication in the delivery, though. It’s only updating the carrier-locked Galaxy A53 in the USA. Before that, it was only available in Europe.

We presume the June 2024 security patch will eventually reach global A53. But we don’t know when exactly. Still, it was interesting to know that the package has fixes for over 59 security vulnerabilities. If you are one of the ones constantly on edge about data breaches, that’s relieving news.

There’s no way to know what firmware version is reaching other regions. USA’s carrier-lock Galaxy A53 has the firmware version code ‘A536USQSAEXF2.’ If and when they send the update in Pakistan, look for the June Patch in Settings >> Software Update >> Check for Updates.

Once available, ‘Download and Install,’ reboot the device, and you’re all set. Samsung's new budget 5G model started at Android 12 in 2022. Since then, there have been many OTAs. All lead up to an Android 14 x One UI 6.1 OS.

But that isn’t the end of the story for Galaxy A53 5G. We know that it’s due for at least one more OS update. Down the year 2024 (probably), an Android 15 and One UI 7 update is waiting for it. And it will draw the best out of that 2022 flagship hardware.
