Their July 2024 update is official now for the Galaxy A53. We’ve been seeing this patch for quite some time now. It doesn’t have much in the way of improvements. But, it does better the security of their One UI 6 firmware. Galaxy A53 is getting the same treatment as others.
Carrier-locked and unlocked Galaxy A53 versions in the US are the first target for this update. Of course, other markets are also due for it. But right now, the July 2024 patch hasn’t left America. Still, it’s only a matter of days before it reaches Pakistan.
In America, the firmware rolling out for the A53 are A536EXXSBEXF3, A536USQSBEXG4, and A536U1UESAEXG2. Those correspond to an international variant, carrier-locked, and non-carrier devices. It might be different when Galaxy A53 users in Pakistan see this update.
As always, keep an eye out for this update and visit Settings > Software Update > Check for Updates on a regular. When the July Patch has reached your A53, you can tap ‘Download and Install’ in the same menu. Samsung's latest 5G mobile will reboot and welcome you to a more secure firmware.
That July 2024 patch has a fix for up to 58 security vulnerabilities from the previous firmware. If you don’t want yourself susceptible to cyber threats, you should jump on the bandwagon as soon as you see the update. It may not be a feature-filled update, but it is just as important.
