Samsung Galaxy A53 is up next to receive the latest March 2025 security patch before the major One UI 7 x Android 15 update drops next month. While this device may not receive the next OS update instantly after release, Samsung did mention A53 on the list of eligible Galaxy devices.
The March 2025 update on Galaxy A53 is meant to boost the security of this handset. The A53s in South and North American countries like Bolivia, Peru, and Mexico are already updated with the latest patch and more countries are receiving the update as we speak.
It’s only a matter of time before it has reached Pakistan as well. We are here to give you a heads-up on what to expect from the update when it hits your Galaxy A53 device. The first thing you need to watch out for is the new and improved firmware on your device’s Changelog.
When the update has reached your latest Samsung 5G mobile, sometime in a few more days, you can identify it by the build number “A536EXXSDEYBD” in the Changelog. For that, you might need to check for update availability first. Go to Settings » Software update menu. Tap Check for Updates.
Once the firmware and the Changelog appear, you can tap the “Download and Install” button to initiate the update process. It will take a few minutes to load the package and reboot later to complete the setup. After the update is finished, your Galaxy A53 will greet you with a reinforced and secure One UI system.
From what we’ve learned about the March update, it has 51 patches for the core Android system and seven for the One UI 6 layer on top of it. Eleven of those patches are also marked critical by Samsung, so you can count it as a high-priority update.
Once the March 2025 update cycle is complete, a slew of flagship and affordable models from Samsung are heading for the Android 15 update in April, so the next month will be very interesting. If you own a Galaxy A53, you should also look out for a One UI 7 update in the future. For more news on the topic, stay tuned.
