Samsung is quickly updating every A series batch with their October 2024 security OTA because it seems to bring crucial fixes for over 42 weak spots in the current One UI firmware. A55 got its update a few days ago, and it is Galaxy A54’s turn now to do the same thing.
We see this update currently in the cycle across some European regions, and the firmware number it showed up with is ‘A546BXXSACXI3.’ This code is region-specific and might change from place to place, but its function will be the same everywhere.
After Europe, A54 users in other regions will start seeing this update soon, and it’s only a matter of days before it will hit Pakistan. They will ping you an alert, or you can Check for the Update manually from time to time in the Settings >> Software Update section.
October update has dozens of fixes for security flaws and we learned that about 30 of these are Android-specific and affect Android phones in general, and 12 others are found on Samsung budget latest phones.
Galaxy A54 is only 1 year old and we are about to hit Android 15 One UI 7.0 on this model. This phone came out of the factory with Android 13 and the next update will be its 2nd major Android jump. Even after that, it will at least have 2-years worth of OS updates left in the tank.
