Samsung Galaxy A55 Finally Joins the Android 15 x One UI 7 Beta Program

It’s finally beginning: the One UI 7 beta update for the midrange Galaxy A lineup is now underway. Samsung has deployed the update package for last year’s Galaxy A55 as the company opens its beta program to the Exynos 1480-based device for the first time. Here’s what you need to know.

The Samsung Galaxy A55 was released last year with One UI 6 (Android 14), and after waiting a full year, Samsung has now announced the Android 15 x One UI 7 beta program for the device, pushing it closer to the stable update release very soon. Down below is the screenshot from a carrier-locked SK Telecom Galaxy A55 variant with the update.

The SKT carrier network in South Korea is the only one exclusively receiving the Android 15 x One UI 7 Beta for its Galaxy A55 right now. That is, until Samsung opens up the update to the rest of the global market, which could happen any day now. For now, at least, South Korean users can enroll in Samsung’s beta program to test the Android 15 build.

The machine translation for the screenshot provides the detailed ChangeLog for the update. Of course, alongside new features, the update will introduce you to an optimized and slightly tweaked UI. You can also check out the Samsung price catalog for related details. But since it’s a beta update, you might experience some bugs in the operating system.

This new update will be available to only those users who enroll in the beta program through the Samsung Members App. Android 15 One UI 7 update should be available in the phone’s Settings once you have successfully signed into the program. Go to the Software Update settings on Galaxy A55 and “Check for Updates.”

For Korean Galaxy A55 users, the update should be available for the member devices signed into the beta program. The A55 owners in Pakistan and the rest of the global markets need to wait until the company opens up the program on a wider scale.

The beta One UI 7 will continue to reach more Galaxy A models in the future, as per the list of eligible Samsung devices in last month’s announcement. So stick around and stay on top of every update Samsung might deploy in the upcoming weeks.
