Samsung Galaxy A55 is now getting updated with the March 2025 security patch. Yes! It brings essential fixes for the One UI security, but what’s more interesting is its context for the One UI 7 Beta update, which Galaxy A55 will also be getting next month, alongside flagship devices like the Z Fold 6 and Flip 6.
Samsung gave away the list of devices to support the beta One UI 7 release in the upcoming month, and the Galaxy A55 is one of them. Once the March 2025 update cycle is complete, a slew of flagship and affordable models from Samsung are heading for the Android 15 update in April, so the next month will be very interesting for Sammy fans.
Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 have already got the final beta update for One UI 7 (Android 15) right after they received the March 2025 security patch. We believe the same is going to happen with the Galaxy A55 shortly. For now, we wait for the story to unfold and hope there are no delays this time.
Users should update their Samsung new budget model with the latest March update for the time being. This update was first seen in Europe, although you can be sure that it will be reaching more regions in a matter of days. In time, even Pakistani Galaxy A55 devices will start pinging the March 2025 package.
The update currently on the rollout in Asia has firmware with build number A556BXXS6AYB4 (it might vary in other regions). From what we’ve learned about the March update, it has 51 patches for the core Android system and seven for the One UI 6 layer on top of it.
Eleven of those patches are also marked critical by Samsung, so you can count it as a high-priority update. About its installation: Galaxy phones usually send alerts to the notification center when an update is available. You tap on it, and that brings you to the Download menu. Galaxy A55 users in Pakistan will receive an alert once it is officially released in the country.
If devices have Automatic updates turned off, so some of you might have to do it manually. Visit Settings >> Software Updates and tap ‘Check for Update.’ If an update is available, a new menu will show the Changelog and the ‘Download and Install’ button for the March 2025 patch. Tap on the button and your A55, let the process complete, and your device should reboot to a more secure firmware. Galaxy A54 users can follow the same steps to ensure their devices are up to date and running the latest security patch.
