Samsung has finally announced the launch date to reveal the Galaxy A series, which happens to be around the same time as the MWC 2025 event. Without getting into the specifics, the company gave us a heads-up about the Galaxy A launch on March 2nd, and per the rumors, three devices will debut at the event instead of the usual two.
This official announcement followed a massive leak in which the source confirmed that Samsung has three devices pending for launch in the next week, namely the Galaxy A26, A36, and A56. But, you should also note that the official teaser for the A series only showed two devices, so the third one may not reveal itself until later.
Samsung has even opened a link to register for the live event overseas, though the same thing will happen in more regions within the next few days. The leak from WinFuture paints quite the picture of what to expect with this year’s Samsung new A models if you are interested.
Galaxy A56 seems to be the most feature-rich with a 6.7” sAMOLED that refreshes fast at a 120Hz rate. It will be a 1080p FHD+ experience. Samsung wants to use an Exynos 1580 chip for A56 with an Android 15 system and 8GB RAM. We hear the camera setup is repeating with the same 50 MP main, 12 MP ultrawide, 5 MP macro, and a 12 MP selfie.
This handset is locked in for a 5000 mAh battery and an upgraded 45W input. Let’s not forget the leaked IP67 rating and the in-display fingerprint. Samsung Galaxy A36 is almost the same as A56 with a 6.7” super AMOLED 120Hz 1080p screen, but the chipset Samsung used here is a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3.
The same Android 15 system now combines with 6/8GB RAM choices on Galaxy A36. Its entire camera system is also the same as the A56, but it downgrades the ultrawide to an 8MP sensor. IP67 rating, screen-laced fingerprint, and 5000mAh x 45W charging are also standard across the board.
Galaxy A26 was given an Exynos 1380 chip, but it still has the same sAMOLED 1080p panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. Sadly, the A26 comes with an ugly-looking notch. The leak says its cameras are 13 MP (selfie) + 2 MP (Macro) + 8 MP (ultrawide) + 50 MP (alpha). A 5000mAh will power this device, just like the others, but you will only get 25W charging. Its fingerprint is side-mounted, but at least it still uses an IP67 rating for durability.
Samsung Galaxy A56’s price might be around €479 (~PKR 140,000), Galaxy A36’s price is expected to be approximately €379 (~PKR 110,000), but the A26 will be the cheapest of all at only €299 (~PKR 87,000). Of course, these are preliminary leaked prices, so you might have to wait for the official launch for confirmation.
