Samsung Galaxy A36 and A56 Expected to Debut Halfway Through March 2025

Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Lineup has already launched, so we dust off the welcome mat for the company’s next big duo: Galaxy A36 and A56. It’s been a pattern with Samsung, as they release Galaxy A3x and A5x devices sometime in the first quarter of every year. The leaks say it’s not changing this year either.

Tips from the X leaker Abhishek Yadav advise that Samsung should launch Galaxy A56 and A36 halfway through March and, following the old patterns, announce the devices globally from the get-go. He also says that the company might be teasing these phones in February.

Of course, until we hear from the company’s officials, we need to look elsewhere for the phone’s specs and design. Some CAD renders went viral recently. You can take a quick gander here for the Galaxy A36 design. There’s a continuation of the Key Island, but the camera appearance has changed.

The cameras aren’t individually placed on the shell anymore. Galaxy A36 and A56 enclose the lenses in a singular glass module, like the A50 or A70 from 2019. Yes! Samsung is going back to the basics, design-wise. With this shift, the phones’ placement in the Samsung rate list will be worth watching. But, the phones will still have modern flat edges and premium AMOLED screens.

If the rumors are anything to go by, we might find that the Galaxy A36 features a 6.64” AMOLED at 1080p resolution. Its fingerprint sensor will lay on the screen, and a 12 MP front camera will hide in the punch hole crop. The TechOutlook seems to believe that the A36 will either grab Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 or SD 7s Gen 2 from Qualcomm.

A 5,000mAh battery with 45W charging and Android 15 are potential features with A36. Galaxy A56 should scale up performance with Samsung’s new Exynos 1580 and even bump the max RAM capacity to 12 GB. It’s not jsut a guess. This fact has been confirmed by Geekbench several weeks ago.

Exynos 1580 has almost scored the same as the Snapdragon 888, a flagship chip of its time. Another thing Samsung Galaxy A56 will tweak is the charging, from A55’s 25W to about double the speed at 45W. We are bound to hear more about the devices from the rumor mill in the future, and we’ll keep you posted.
