It’s beyond doubt that there’s a Samsung Galaxy A56 phone they’ve been working on given all the certifications that have come up lately on this topic. There’s even a Geekebench report roaming the interwebs, and it came with clues about the SoC of this particular model.
It became apparent from the get-go that this Galaxy A56 could hold its own even against the Galaxy S21 Ultra from three years ago, and it was the flagship phone at the time. Geekbench tested this A56 with a chip called Exynos 1580 and the results it spilled were almost as good as a Snapdragon 888.
A56’s single-core instance on the Geekbench test yielded about 1341 points, and this little chip pushed it even more in that multi-core test at about 3836 points. These were the scores of a typical flagship when the Snapdragon 888 was fresh out of the oven, but now, you’ll see even a mid-ranger like A56 cross this threshold.
There has always been this debate among Samsung fans about whether you should buy a refurbished flagship or a new mid-tier A series phone, and the majority always favored the former choice. But Samsung's new budget mobile is pulling ahead now, so a wiser choice this time would be to go for a new one.
SM-A566B is the model code they assigned to this particular Galaxy A56 and that letter ‘B’ at the end could mean it is a global one. Of course, they will use Android 15 with it, and Geekbench says the same thing, but nothing else has come up about its other specs yet.
