Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series from the flagship category and the Galaxy A25 from its upper entry-level segment might debut within the next month. Then, it’s the Galaxy A56 and A36's turn, and we hear one of the phones has bagged a wireless connectivity upgrade.

Of course, there’s no official announcement yet, but the early details on a certification document are just as credible. Bluetooth SIG database recently indexed Galaxy A56 under code SM-A566B_DS, where this phone was tested with Bluetooth version 5.4.

Galaxy A55 used Bluetooth 5.3, but the A56 has bumped it up to 5.4, a generational leap. At least for its upper-end phones, Samsung keeps the hardware up-to-date and BT V5.4 is only one example. We also hear WiFi 6E, making it to the Galaxy A56.

We had our suspicions when Samsung's new budget mobile popped up in the Geekbench database with Exynos 1580. This chip allegedly has WiFi 6E (upgraded from WiFi 6 on A55) and Bluetooth 5.4 integrated within, so wherever the 1580 goes, these connectivity standards tag along.

BT 5.4 improves on the existing 5.3 standard and scores better efficiency among many other perks. This version should streamline the connection with Galaxy accessories, like the smart tag or smartwatches. Exynos 1580 will bump the A56 performance to a flagship level, and this will be the first time a Galaxy mid-ranger shows up with 45W fast charging.
