Samsung Galaxy A56 will Far Surpass Galaxy A55 with a Flagship-grade SoC

Samsung Galaxy A55, although better than all others in the A-catalog, is still supremely mid-range, and from what we can tell, it was by choice. People accept that it’s the Samsung way of doing things, still, the A5x phones haven’t quite measured up to the standards of the late A7x flagship lineup, but maybe it’s time it did with Galaxy A56.

We all know that Galaxy A56 is coming sooner or later and there’s proof of its R&D and testing at IMEI’s database where they assigned it a model code SM-A566B/DS. Soon after we learned these things, some reports hit our radar saying that A56 is a far better performer due to its Exynos 1580 chip.

They are working on Exynos 1580, and there’s no denying it, but the internet leaks advise that this chip will also have an NPU and that its performance is close to Exynos 2100’s. Let’s break it down one point at a time for a better context.

We know that AI is slowly becoming a standard industry-wide, and Samsung has had Galaxy AI locked to the S series alone. But, with the dedicated NPU on Exynos 1580, we might even see built-in AI on the Samsung budget new phone. There’s also a Geekbench report about it.

Exynos 1580 got tested at Geekbench and the results were 1046 single core and 3678 multicore points, and if you remember S21 Ultra’s Exynos 2100, these scores are almost on par. Also, there’s a chance that it has Xclipse 540 GPU and Android 15 out of the factory.
