At their Awesome Unpacked event yesterday, The Korean Manufacturer introduced the Samsung Galaxy A52, A32, and A72. The Galaxy A71 was one of Samsung's best sellers, so this year they're introducing a host of new features — from an IP rating to a smoother display and high-end cameras. Here’s what the latest mid-range Samsung has to offer.
We start with the new and improved screen. The Samsung Galaxy A72 features a 6.7” AMOLED panel, a full HD resolution, 800 nits of peak brightness, and a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. The rear shell has a matte unibody finish available in four colors: Awesome Black, Awesome Blue, Awesome White, and Awesome Violet.
There’s a quad-camera encased inside the raised platform of Galaxy A72. The array has a 64MP f/1.8 camera, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 5MP macro camera.
The standard wide and zoom cameras on new Samsung mobiles have optical image stabilization for crisp photos and video, even in low-light. For selfies, the Galaxy A72 has a 32MP camera.
The phone is IP67 rated, and it can withstand being submerged in water up to a meter for half an hour. Immersive surround sound is ensured by two speakers onboard the Samsung A72. Lastly, an optical fingerprint scanner is integrated into the display.
The A72 packs a 5000 mAh battery that fast charges over 25W. Samsung promises two-day battery life out of a single charge. But note that the charging brick in the box is only 15W — unlike last year when the 25W charger was shipped with the phone.
Android11-based OneUI 3.0 and the 8nm Snapdragon 720G power the Samsung Galaxy A72. And it comes in 8GB+256GB and 128GB variants — with support for up to a TB of microSD card expansion. The base edition starts from Rs. 69,999, while the top-end version costs Rs. 84,999. It’s hitting store shelves in Pakistan today.
