Samsung Galaxy A73 — having remained a mystery for the most part — started making headlines recently. Its pre-release benchmarks surfaced yesterday. And the phone’s official press images have leaked online.

Evan Blass, a credible industry analyst, partnered with 91Mobiles to bring us the marketing images showcasing the Galaxy A73. Samsung has recycled the design language of the pricey sibling of the Samsung Galaxy A53, but the bezels around the screen have been trimmed further.

We’re looking at a 6.7” OLED panel, rocking a 1080P resolution and 90 Hz refresh rate. Samsung has embedded a fingerprint scanner under this display. The cyclops-eye cutout for the front camera sits in the middle. It contains a 32MP front camera.

The back of the upcoming addition to the Samsung price catalog has a raised camera mound featuring a quad-lens cluster. It’s a matrix of 64MP OIS-powered wide, 12MP ultra-wide, and two 5MP macro and portrait shooters. The Galaxy A73 has removed the audio jack from all higher-end Galaxy A phones, including the Galaxy A73. It’s still rated IP67 against dust and water.

Everything runs on the Snapdragon 778G — a mid-range 5G chip from Qualcomm. It’s powered by a 5000 mAh battery and 25W rapid charging (although it remains to be seen if Samsung will ship the phone with a power brick.) You get at least 8GB of memory and 128GB of internal storage. Android 12 x OneUI runs on the Galaxy A73 right out of the box. Several governments have certified the A73 already, hinting at its upcoming debut.
