After it first appeared in Samsung's trademark applications last year, the Galaxy A62 has mostly stayed under the radar. But according to official sources, the phone is slated for launch on February 15, as Samsung Galaxy F62

Samsung has been selling M-series models as F-series phones in India, exclusively via an online retailer. We don't know yet if the new lineup will reach Pakistan or not but if it does, it might also end up being Daraz exclusive just like the M-series.

The landing page on the vendor’s website teases the phone’s design and chipset. Samsung is generally reluctant to name their chips, but it’s presented as a selling point for the Galaxy F62. This upcoming Galaxy runs on the Exynos 9825.

It's a previous-gen flagship chip that debuted with the Galaxy Note 10, carrying a flagship Samsung mobile price tag. It was the first Exynos SoC to use a 7nm fabrication process. Based on their internal lab tests on the F62, Samsung promises best-in-class performance.

The teaser details the benchmark scores for the Galaxy F62. It manages 2400 points on Geekbench 5 and hits 68 on GFXBench 5. For context, the performance is comparable to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G.

In addition to the Exynos chipset, the Samsung Galaxy F62 also borrows from the Note 10 aesthetic. We’re looking at similarly trimmed bezels and an O-hole in the middle. MySmartPrice reports that it’s a 6.7” AMOLED screen and that the cutout holds a 32MP selfie camera.

Around the back, the Samsung Galaxy A52's cousin is painted in a fading green gradient. You can also make out a side-facing fingerprint scanner, doubling as the power button. The quad-camera is led by a 64MP sensor encased in a boxy camera platform.

Based on the previous leak, the Galaxy F62 features a 7000 mAh battery, 8GB of memory, 128GB of internal storage, and the latest OneUI 3.0. And it’s expected to start from INR 25,000 (~ Rs. 54,700.)
