The long-rumored Galaxy M52 5G was released yesterday without any fanfare from Samsung. It first debuted in Europe, and it’s coming to Asia next week. Although official sources haven't specified it yet, going by a typical Samsung release calendar, the Galaxy M52 may also land in Pakistan.
Samsung Galaxy M52 5G sports an unusually lightweight and slim design for a budget Samsung phone. For the specific dimensions, the phone weighs 174g and measures only 7.4mm in depth. The frame has beveled edges and corners. And the shell presents a metal brushed texture, painted in graphite, white, and bright blue finishes.
Three lenses, accented with rings, are housed inside a raised camera platform. It’s a cluster of 64MP f/1.8 wide, 12MP 123° ultra-wide, and 5MP macro cameras. One 32MP front camera, encased in an O-hole, rounds off this setup.
The O-hole cutout is surrounded by a 6.7” SuperAMOLED panel. Samsung's new model for 2021 features a reduced chin, a crisp 1080P resolution, and a responsive, dynamic 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is among the best you can get in this price range. On the side, we find volume rockers and a power key that doubles as the fingerprint scanner. But a 3.5mm audio jack is missing.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G (built on a 6nm process to bridge the gap between flagship and budget chips) is at the heart of the Galaxy A52's cousin. It supports up to 11 5G bands and works with 6GB of virtually extended multitasking memory. You get 128GB of storage, expandable via a microSD card.
The Galaxy M52 5G is powered by a 5000 mAh battery that fast-charges over 25W. But this power brick isn’t shipped with the phone. The standard OneUI 3 runs on this hardware. Samsung hasn’t released the pricing details yet.
