The sequel to last year’s Samsung Galaxy M51, which debuted with the brand's largest battery in a phone, is on its way. Aptly titled, Galaxy M52, is yet to be officially teased. But this latest M-series model has already been leaked and benchmarked.
The new report comes from the European publication GalaxyClub.nl, featuring the camera, pricing, and design details for the Samsung Galaxy M52. Its camera system uses high-resolution sensors across the board (much like the Galaxy A52 that this model is based on.)
The rear array features 64 MP wide, 12 MP ultrawide, and 5 MP macro cameras. The fourth camera designed for portraits, presumably 5 MP as well, rounds off this setup. The Galaxy M52 has a 32MP selfie camera out on the front, likely tucked inside a hole-punch cutout.
GalaxyClub further notes that the M52 will be offered in at least three color options — blue, white, and black. Plus, the base edition could be priced at 360 euros or Rs. 67,800 (prices in Europe are usually on the higher side). Despite roughly the same price tag, the Galaxy M52 adopts a stronger chipset.
Overall a nice addition to the Samsung price list, according to a listing posted on the popular cross-platform benchmark Geekbench, the Galaxy M52 is the first Samsung to debut with the Snapdragon 778G. It’s a 5G chip built on a 6nm wafer; Qualcomm announced it in May this year. The M52 combines it with at least 6GB of memory and the latest Android11-based OneUI Core.
Unless Samsung is planning to trim down the Galaxy M52, it should inherit the massive 7000 mAh battery and its accompanying 25W fast charging support from the last-gen Galaxy M51. The display would be an OLED panel with a 1080P resolution.
