Samsung has the next generation of Galaxy A phones lined up for launch on March 17. But the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G and siblings are not the only mid-range handsets to debut this season. The affordable Galaxy M phones are also coming soon. And the first in this upcoming series is the Galaxy M53 5G.
The Vietnamese publication ThePixel.vn posted the core specifications of the Galaxy M53 5G. It rocks a large 6.7” SuperAMOLED screen with a 1080P resolution and fluid 120Hz refresh rate. You can expect minimal bezels around the display and a hole punched through its middle.
While the Galaxy A53 is built on Samsung’s Exynos silicon, the M53 features a MediaTek chip. The MediaTek Dimensity 900, to be specific. It’s hooked up to a 5000 mAh battery that supports 25W rapid charging. You get 8GB of memory and 128GB/256GB of internal storage. Pre-release benchmarks of the Galaxy M53 also corroborate some of these specs.
The rear camera cluster on the new Samsung M mobile comprises 108MP wide-angle, 8MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro, and 2MP portrait shooters. Its Galaxy A counterpart has a 64MP lens powered by optical image stabilization. Also, we find a 32MP front camera embedded inside the front panel.
It’s unclear if the Galaxy M53 retains its physical audio port, but the feature has been removed from the A53. OneUI Core x Android 12 presumably runs on the Galaxy M53 5G. And it starts from $450 (~ Rs. 80,000.)
