Samsung's campaign of removing the charger from the retail box started with the flagship Galaxy S series. The S21 line was the first to leave it out, and the Galaxy S22 followed a year later. Most recently, the Samsung Galaxy A53 dropped the charging brick from its box too. And another budget Galaxy M phone is next on the chopping. The rumor mill leaked those details for the Galaxy M53 5G ahead of its official debut.
Courtesy of the phone leaker Yogesh Brar, we learn that the Samsung Galaxy M53 5G rocks a 5000 mAh battery. It’s powered over faster 25W rapid charging support. The new feature should cut down on the charging duration. But the charging brick will need to be bought separately to use the max speeds.
The engine inside the Galaxy M53 5G is the MediaTek Dimensity 900. It’s a 5G chip that supports over ten bands. Android 12 x OneUI 4.1 runs on the phone out of the box. Presumably, Samsung might be extending the software support for the M series (much like the new Galaxy A53 and A33, which now come with four years of guaranteed OS upgrades.)
Samsung Galaxy M53 features a 6.7” 120Hz Super AMOLED screen, 1080P resolution, and a fluid 120Hz refresh rate. A single hole punched through the display houses the 32 MP front camera.
We find a quad-lens cluster made of 108MP wide-angle, 8MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro, and 2MP portrait shooters on the back. You can pick the Galaxy M53 in 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB storage variants.
