It's finally happening; Android 13 has started showing up on non-pixel phones. Unquestionably, Samsung devices are the first to receive a non-beta full Official Android OS update. Following the release of the 13th stable OS upgrade for Galaxy S20 and S21, the Korean firm has moved on to Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra.
With stable Android 13, Samsung upgrades the user interface from OneUI 4.1 to OneUI 5.0. The roll-out has begun in Switzerland. After pinging the OTA upgrade to eligible Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and Note 20 throughout Europe, it will also start showing up in Asian regions. Pakistani 4G Note 20s will follow soon after.
Upon availability, users will receive a notification to start the update. To do it later, go to Settings » Software update section, let the search complete itself, and tap Download and install when it appears. Your Samsung Note 20 will take care of the rest.
5G Notes will boot up to the "N98xBXXU5GVJE" firmware upgrade. The 4G variants in the same vein as Pakistan's will find version "N980FXXU5GVJE" after the update. The firmware upgrade (mainly the October 2022 patch) is just a tiny portion of OneUI 5.0 OTA. There's a lot more to the new user interface than just that. the last known retail Samsung phone price for the Galaxy Note 20 was Rs. 180,000 while Note 20 Ultra last retailed at 220,000 Pakistani rupees.
One UI 5.0 OS brings eight new Dynamic themes to the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra with a revamped notification panel. Extensive per-app notifications control, enhanced stacked widgets, improved multitasking gestures, updated camera UI with watermark pictures, text extraction from live images, re-introduced multiple users, and more.
The base layer of Android 13 features an active apps menu accessible from the notification panel, Notification permission on newly installed apps, and individual language settings for apps.
