The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is old but remains unforgotten. They’ve issued a new security patch for it. July 2024 update reached Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra before. So, we know very well what the update entails. The July patch for Galaxy S21 FE is the same and brings the exact fixes.

Before the update lands in other markets, the only Galaxy S21 FE variants getting the update are carrier-locked US (SM-G990U) and European (SM-G990B). ‘G990BXXS9GXF3’ and ‘G990USQSCGXF5’ are the new firmware codes associated with this update.

It hasn’t happened yet, but the update will eventually hit Galaxy S21 FEs in Pakistan. Samsung will send you an alert for the update’s availability. But in case you miss the alert, you can also check for this update manually in Settings >> Software Updates >> Check for Updates.

When it shows the ‘Download and Install’ button on your Samsung budget new handset. You’ll be able to access it. July 2024 Security patch has fixes for dozens of security issues. To be more specific, it resolves up to 58 vulnerabilities found in the current firmware. So, the update is worth looking into.

Security patches are it for Galaxy S21 FE, unluckily. There are no major updates due for the device after One UI 6.1. That means no One UI 6.1.1 or the future Android 15 update. It’s the end of the road for Galaxy S21 series phones.
