Samsung Galaxy S22 Designs Renders Leaked by an ex-Samsung Employee

The most recent Galaxy S22 series leaks have been centered around the top-end Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra edition. But the baseline S22 and S22 Plus just stepped into the limelight with a very credible leak. A former Samsung employee published the product designs for the two S-series flagships.

The ex-employee partnered with the designer Snoreyn under the pseudonym Super Roader to bring us the mockups for the Samsung Galaxy S22 and the Galaxy S22 Plus. As seen in the images, Samsung has only mildly tweaked the duo’s design for next year.

The S22 and S22+ have flat displays, featuring a uniform, slim bezel, and a hole-punch cutout in the center. If not for the O-hole, you could easily mistake this screen for the latest iPhone’s. The panels are reportedly even brighter in 2022, but they still peak at a 1080P resolution and 120Hz.

The S21 series debuted with a characteristic camera island that melts into the frame. The chassis itself curves along the edges and soft corners. The new Samsung S22 mobiles inherit that design. But the wrap-around camera plate doesn’t stand out with chrome accents.

Instead, the finish blends into the rest of the shell. It’s a satin-matte aesthetic, offered in at least one graphite color. The upcoming S21 Fan Edition adopts a similar look too. The Samsung Galaxy S22 series is allegedly launching in February 2022, right on the heels of the S21 FE slated for January. We’ll keep you posted as the story develops.
