There’s a new update on the roll by Samsung, and it patches multiple weak points in the One UI system. Their August 2024 security update is now doing rounds for numerous Samsung devices, and it may have finally caught up to the Galaxy S23 series as well.

Galaxy S23, S23 Plus, and S23 Ultra are all in for this massive update cycle. It all started moments ago when the vanilla Galaxy S23 pinged users with the update in Thailand for the first time. S918BXXS6CXG9/S918BOXM6CXFD/S918BXXS6CXG9 was the build number for this latest update.

The firmware code might not be the same for other regions. But the crux of this update is the same. There are minor system optimizations here. Plus, a few patches secure the phone from external threats. Of course, if the update has reached the vanilla S23, the other two aren’t far behind.

Users in Pakistan who use one of Samsung's flagship handsets can expect the update shortly. Downloading the update is a straightforward method. You navigate to Settings >> Software Update >> Check for Update. If the update’s in, you simply press Download and install.

Galaxy S23 Series promised four years of OS updates at the launch. If you have any of those phones, you can sit comfy for the next two years till Android 17. In the coming weeks, though, the newer One UI 6.1.1 version seems probable. In other rumors, the Galaxy S23 Ultra might be due for a One UI 7 Beta program in a few regions.
