For so long, Samsung has been leading the smartphone design field with each successive S and Note lineup. Samsung's innovation has stagnated since the arrival of the Z Fold and Z Flip. It appears that Samsung's preference is shifting toward refining the existing designs rather than creating new ones every year, similar to how Apple does.
For the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 lineup, The Korean giant might refine and reuse the already well-suited frame from the S22 series. It won't come as a surprise; since they already did it with their latest foldable duo, the Flip 4 and the Fold 4 — lookalikes of parent Flip 3 & Fold 3.
Not long ago, the details about the Galaxy S23 roundup's measurements and screen stats got leaked, along with hints that the exteriors will be identical to S22's. The freshly tweeted leak about the base S23 reinforces the previous theories.
Renowned Samsung leaker Ice Universe tweets that the latest Samsung 6.1" mobile might have a slightly wider body and screen compared to the S22, which would lead to thicker bezels. According to the posted image, all four bezels have been scaled by 0.15mm. The difference may be minor, but it's a step down in improvement.
Allegedly, S23 will also come with Samsung Galaxy S22's elongated camera housing melting into the top-left corner of the device. On top of that, the display will measure 6.1-inch, with FHD+ (2430 x 1080p) resolution. The frame dimensions will probably be 146.3 x 70.9 x 7.6mm (slightly wider than S22's size at 146 x 70.6 x 7.6mm). Samsung also plans to skip the Exynos variants altogether.
