Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra Bags TENAA Certification; Reveals Detailed Spec Sheet & Dimensions

Ahead of the big release, Samsung is apace, arranging certification for its three impending flagships, Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. The standard and Plus-variant were recently spotted on the FCC database, giving away the battery stats.

There's typically a lack of details in the FCC database, whereas the TENAA database shows a relatively comprehensive and almost complete specification sheet for the Galaxy S23 Ultra. This post will cover a brief overview of the revealed specifications.

In terms of size and heft, Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra measures 163.4 x 78.1 x 8.9mm and weighs 233g. The display measures 6.8 inches with 1440 x 3088px resolution bearing an almost 19.3:9 aspect ratio. These stats completely align with the current selling Galaxy S22 Ultra.

In the province of energy, the latest Samsung Ultra mobile boasts a 4,855mAh battery, typically rated and advertised as 5000mAh. The database didn't name the charging rate or plug type, but speculations suggest 45W power delivery onboard.

According to TENAA and many previous statements, the Galaxy S23 series' CPU holds three clock speeds in the architecture; 3.36GHz, 2.8GHz, and 2.0GHz (marked for the overclocked variant of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC). The GPU has an overclocked rate too, but there is no mention of it on TENAA. The chipset is to pair with 8GB/ 12GB of RAM and 256GB/ 512GB/ 1TB storage.

Satellite communications support is underwork for S23 Ultra, but that didn't appear on TENAA either. Competing with Apple's Emergency Satellite SOS, Samsung will break out its version of the non-cellular SOS, collaborating with Iridium's space network. The upcoming Samsung Unpacked event in the starting week of February will probably be the stage for the S23 series unveil. Until then, you can get your hands on its precursor from the last year.
