Samsung Galaxy S23, S23 Plus, and S23 Ultra, three of the most anticipated smartphones of the year, are imminently on their way to launch. At this point, several sources have corroborated the fact that the next-gen trio will follow their predecessor's launch pattern. In a recent break, a Samsung exec mentioned 2023's Unpacked Event for the series debut (slated for early February).
Moments ago, the trio S23, S23 Plus, and the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra appeared on the US-based FCC database revealing key aspects and model numbers. The Ultra sibling, detailed under the FCC listing, shows model SM-S918B/DS.
In line with the predecessor's battery stats, the newcomer S23 Ultra is bringing the same 4855mAh cell that we all know will surely round up to a typical capacity of 5000mAh. FCC listing also reveals 25W charging support on the model, a surprising move since the precursor's cap was at 45W.
In addition, the database indicates that the Samsung Galaxy new model, S23 Ultra will support the same S-Pen, another inherited trait from the parent. At this point, everyone's aware of Samsung's stingy move, terminating the Note lineup altogether. In the aftermath, the S-pen has become exclusive to the most expensive Ultra S-phones.
A 200MP Samsung ISOCELL sensor expectedly awaits the Galaxy S23 Ultra's primary camera, followed by a large 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with a variable 1-120Hz refresh rate and record-breaking brightness. The awaited E6 panel is likely able to top at 2200 nits.
The entire S23 lineup will bear an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, according to Geekbench. The Exynos Stock no longer exists. With 12GB RAM on each variant, the S23 Ultra will likely start at ~1200 USD. Upcoming Samsung flagships are also awaiting Emergency Communication through satellite.
